and planning expertise. We participate in firm training programs as well

the selection of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, and various other
investment vehicles, we structure portfolios to weather the tough markets

EXPERIENCE
The Stirling Group has more
than 70 years of combined financial services experience. Each member of
the group represents a specialized ability to provide high-end value to
every client relationship.
The investment team consists of Douglas W. Stirling, Barbara P. Stirling
and Gerald B. Stirling. All members are licensed by the National Association
of Securities Dealers, the New York Stock Exchange, the Pennsylvania Securities
Commission, and insurance licensed by the Pennsylvania State Insurance
Commission.
Gerald B. Stirling began his career withthe firm
in 1960 after receiving his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College
and then attending the University of Pennsylvania. During the past 44
years, he has focused entirely on managing client assets and providing
financial solutions to client needs. In 2002, Parker/Hunter awarded Jerry
the first “Chairman’s Award”. The award recognizes that
throughout his career, Jerry “created with clients an unsurpassed
relationship of trust based on integrity, enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment
to investment beliefs and strove always to fulfill the trust that he has
built.” He currently serves as Consulting Advisor to the Group.
Barbara P. Stirling has fourteen years with The Stirling
Group and serves as Senior Vice President / Investments. Her primary
responsibilities include portfolio management and asset allocation. Barbara
was a Senior Vice President of PNC Financial and worked in the Trust Department’s
specialized area of the Family Wealth Management Group. She has a B.A.
from Stephens College and attended the Cannon Trust School at the University
of North Carolina Charlotte.
Douglas W. Stirling has six years with The Stirling Group
and serves as Senior Vice President / Investments. Doug focuses on
directing and implementing all investment strategies and conducts all
client meetings and reviews. Doug also works closely with Barbara and
Jerry devising appropriate investment strategies for each client. He previously
served as an investment advisor with Paine Webber in Raleigh, North Carolina
focusing on Retirement Plan business. He is a graduate of North Carolina
State University in Raleigh with a Bachelor of Science degree. Doug currently
volunteers on several committees at St. Barnabas Health System and advises
residents on finances and investments. He is also active with Animal Friends,
a Pittsburgh-based animal shelter, and the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project.
