Stephen A. Peters joined Parker/Hunter, a division of Janney Montgomery Scott ’s
predecessor, McKelvy & Company in their Monessen office in 1968 for
the opportunity to manage investment planning for individuals and institutions.
Steve is presently the Branch Manager of Parker/Hunter’s Uniontown
office.
Steve’s investment philosophy is based on creating and preserving
wealth for his clients by developing individualized programs. He focuses
on achieving his clients’ long-term financial goals while minimizing
risk. Taking into consideration asset allocation and long-term value-oriented
investments, Steve tailors financial programs for his clients utilizing
Janney Montgomery Scott's Specialists in equity research, financial
planning, portfolio management, mutual funds, investment management, options,
and insurance when appropriate.
Throughout the investment process, Steve helps clients understand their
investment needs, making changes and adjustments when required, and focuses
on long-term, disciplined investing. Client service is Steve’s top
priority and he strives to exceed expectations when it comes to client
satisfaction.

Personal:
Born and raised in Masontown, Steve attended All Saints High School. He
graduated from the University of Notre Dame and pursued graduate work
at West Virginia University. He served as a Unit Commander in Germany
for the United States Army. Steve and his wife Rita have three grown children.
Active in his community, Steve is a former district governor of the Rotary
International, a current trustee and a former chairman for the Uniontown
Hospital Foundation, and a board member of the Community Foundation of
Fayette County.
