Donald
Detts joined Parker/Hunter, a division of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, in 1983 after getting an early start
in the stock market with the purchase of his first stock from Parker/Hunter
at the age of 12. As a Financial Consultant, he offers his clients
a full range of investment products and services including stocks and
bonds, mutual funds, IRAs, annuities, CDs, portfolio management, financial
planning, retirement planning, estate planning and more to both individuals
as well as businesses. Additionally, Don serves as a Vice President / Investments
and an Assistant Branch Manager for the firm's Washington office.
Don carefully reviews a client's needs and then makes recommendations based
upon the client's established goals and priorities. Because of the
many investment choices today, he researches individual equities, mutual
funds and other investment products to secure the right fit for each client.
Don describes his investment philosophy as being very long-term oriented.
Additionally, he takes pride in being available to his clients anytime
and making their needs a top priority.

A native to the Ellsworth area, Don attended Bentworth High School and received
his Bachelor of Science degree from the California University
of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Don has received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL
PLANNERTM designation. Don and his wife Beth
have two daughters Rachel and Lindsey. Don serves as a Eucharistic
Minister for the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and the Washington
Hospital. In addition he serves a soccer coach for the Washington
Area Soccer League and the Trinity Youth Girls Basketball Association.
