Melody A. Filicky has been a Financial Consultant
with Parker/Hunter, a division of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, since 2000 following a career in banking. As a Financial
Consultant she offers her clients a full range of investment products and
services including stocks and bonds, mutual funds, IRAs, annuities, CDs,
portfolio management, financial planning, retirement planning and estate
planning to individuals as well as businesses. Additionally, Melody serves
as an Assistant Vice President / Investments for the firm.
Melody’s investment philosophy focuses on two things: Keeping realistic
expectations and reinforcing the meaning of “long-term” investing.
Taking into consideration asset allocation and long-term value-oriented
investments, Melody tailors financial programs for her clients utilizing
Janney Montgomery Scott's Specialists in equity research, financial
planning, portfolio management, mutual funds, investment management, options,
and insurance when appropriate. Client service is a top priority for Melody
and she takes pride in making herself available to her clients when it
is convenient for them - days, evenings or weekends. Furthermore, she
never ends a day without returning her missed phone calls.

Personal:
Born and raised in Brownsville, Melody attended Brownsville High School
where she was the salutatorian of her graduating class. Melody and her
husband Larry have two children. Their son Christopher is currently serving
in the United States Air Force as a Senior Airman and their daughter Lauren
is currently attending Uniontown High School. Active in the community,
Melody is a member of the Uniontown High School Band Boosters and St.
Mary Church. She is an active member of Soroptimist International of Fayette
County where she serves as its treasurer.
